The Medicine Home Delivery Service enables patients with restricted mobility to have their medication delivered to their homes rather than having to visit the practice. Jim Mackenzie delivers medication every Monday morning between 0930 and 1230 and on Tuesdays after a Bank holiday. He always carries NHS ID.

The home delivery service is available to patients who meet the following criteria:

1. Require home visits from the Practice in order to receive medical care or who depend on other people, e.g. carers or relatives, in order to attend appointments at the Practice

Are carers as identified by the Practice’s carers’ register

Do not take controlled drugs

If you take controlled drugs you will still need to collect medication from your preferred surgery because you, or your named representative, is required to sign the reverse of the prescription to confirm collection of the medication.
Due to storage regulations, medication kept in the fridge must be collected from the Practice to uphold product liability.
